This text has been written for a one-semester (13 week) Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) course, aimed at second year undergraduate level software engineering courses. It is assumed that students will have an introductory understanding of what comprises analysis and design. This book deals with the analysis and modelling of software systems with the Unified Modelling Language (UML 2.0) in the 'problem space' of software development spectrum and presents the topics of analysis and documentation based on the Object Management Groups (OMG) UML 2.0 version. It uses cases, case diagrams, activity diagrams, business-level class diagrams, corresponding interaction diagrams and state machine diagrams.
