Power and security politics of different power players in the world determine the future shape of the world and emerging world order. South Asia being extremely important for the future, has attracted all power players, like USA (the only super power), China (emerging economic power), India and Iran (regional powers) and Russia (a resurging power) to play their roles in South Asia. In fact, it is perceived that any power, which will dominate in this region, will be able to pursue its vital interests in power politics the world over. Security politics of South Asia is likely to pre-dominantly impact international relations of different countries/power centre of the world and accordingly future world order will emerge. Therefore, academically, it is important to debate security politics of South Asia linked to Central Asia in the study of international relations.
