Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (164 AH-241) was born in Baghdad. After receiving his primary education, he engaged in the pursuit of knowledge of Hadith in 179 AH when he was only 15 years old. He traveled to Kufa in 183 AH and stayed there until the death of his teacher Hashim, after that he traveled to other cities and countries to acquire the knowledge of Hadith. Imam Ahmad was a jurist and mujtahid of the same rank as Muhaddith. Regarding the Hanbali school, Imam Sahib is on his side. The origin of this religion is based on narrations and hadiths and monuments. You are a disciple of Imam Shafi'i. He was considered among the famous hadith scholars of his time. In the issue of the creation of the Qur'an, he was whipped for disagreeing with the opinion of Caliph Mu'tasim, but he did not turn to the wrong thing. You would have fainted after eating the lash but refused to confirm the falsehood. He got so much respect because of the way he faced hardships in pursuit of truth that he became the ruler of people's hearts. A long part of your life was spent in cramped and dark prison cells. There were shackles on the feet, all kinds of tortures were given so that you would somehow be convinced of the Qur'an, but that mountain of determination and faith did not move an inch from its position. He lived on truth and died on truth. Imam Sahib passed away at the age of 77 on 12 Rabi Al-Awwal 214 AH. The whole city went crazy. Never had such a crowd of creation been seen at anyone's funeral. According to a careful estimate, the number of those who attended the funeral was 100,000 men and 60,000 women. (Wafiyat al-Ayyan: 1/48) Hafiz Ibn Kathir says that the saying of Imam Sahib was proven right by Allah Almighty: "Say to these people of bid'ah, the opponents, that the difference between us and you is the day of the funeral." 11/343) Imam Sahib left many memorable works. His most famous and respected hadith book is "Musnad Ahmad". Many collections of Masanids were compiled before and after that, but none of them got the same fame and popularity as Musanad Ahmad. Due to the importance of Musand Ahmad, scholars of all ages have believed with it and it has been included in the curriculum. Many scholars have written a description of the hadiths of Musnad Ahmad, some have summarized them, some have worked on his poor hadiths, some have written on his characteristics, and some have worked on the hadiths. The under-commented book "Namaaz" is an Urdu translation of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal's book "Al-Salaat" on the subject of prayer. Sheikh Muhammad Hamid Al-Faqi has researched this book and has written a comprehensive case on it. And some content related to the belief of Imam Ahmad has been added to it. The Ministry of Islam and Awqaf of Saudi Arabia published it 20 years ago for the purpose of distribution in large numbers. (MA)
