The idea behind this project is to create a prototype which runs on electricity using battery. The main focus of this project is to make a vehicle that is energy efficient. This alternative fuel prototype would be the substitute for the conventional fuel vehicles. In Markhor, we opted for electric charge which is available to us at homes in the form of electricity. There are no poisonous emissions hence no harm to the atmosphere which make this prototype an environment friendly vehicle. The Markhor operates on simple chargeable battery and an electric motor. After iterative calculations and design revisions, a prototype model was made using polystyrene sheet. Solid modeling and analysis were performed to validate the design before fabrication. The vehicle has been fabricated and electrical wiring is done successfully. Driving tests have been performed which demonstrate the functionality of this project.
