Design and development of packing and taping system

CDSummary: Nowadays, it is necessary that industries explore methods of enhancing automation and productivity to acquire greater competitiveness. As, it reduces human interfacing and large amount of good quality products are produced in lesser time. The target in this project is to design and develop such system which packs things in very less time. The system will be controlled by the Arduino microcontroller. It can perform multiple tasks which work according to the given input. In the project a packing machine has been designed and developed which will pack the products in a carton by closing the flaps and by taping them. The system can pack cartons of different sizes. The movement is done with the help of linear actuator and height of the assembly is adjusted with the help of proximity sensors. A closing flap mechanism is operated by “Sharp IR Sensors”, which gives inputs to the controller to get specific output signals. Fabrication of Packing and taping machine has been carried out successfully. It performs all the tasks as desired. The machine packs and tapes the fifteen cartons in one minute
