Steam generation by parabolic concentrator

CDSummary: In the project a Parabolic Concentrator made of steel sheet is used, this concentrator is curved at a certain angle to acquire the shape of a parabola. Parabolic shape is helps to concentrate the reflections at a single point so the solar radiation reflects and are focused at the focal point. The receiver tube is carrying the water and this tube is mounted at the focal point, where it gets heated by solar reflections and water is converted into steam. Working of the system is controlled depending upon the temperature of the system, which is monitored using thermocouples and temperature controller. Thermocouples are mounted on the receiver tube and water tank while temperature controller automatically monitors and controls the working. The data being monitored can be observed on the computer with the help of temperature controller and data communication card. However due to imperfection, perfect steam is not achieved but the goal can be achieved by managing the sources at larger scale.
