A remote controlled (RC) toy car is being turned into a PC controlled car. The car is being controlled via a GUI interface. A wireless camera is being mounted on the car and an obstacle detection system is being installed. The video footage from the camera can be viewed on the same PC. This car can now be used to maneuver remote places and send video streaming of the environment and hence can provide a surveillance function. The car will also be able to detect obstacles via IR sensors mounted on the car.
