Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is a predominant factor in influencing the contents of contemporary process of global economic development. A country can reap the fruits of FDI with stable policies and with better incentives. Many developing countries, including Pakistan are actively seeking the role of FDI in uplifting their economic growth and performance. Pakistan lags far behind and continues to present a poor image to foreign investors because of volatile political situation and macro-economic instability. However, the present government of Pakistan has started liberalizing its economy with a view to attract greater FD1.
