Autonomous Pick and Place Fork Lifter using Mecanum Wheels and barcode scanner is an autonomous machine that sorts package through barcode pasted on it and placed on desired destination without human intrusion. A barcode scanner is fixed on the fork lifter which helps in detection of the package. After placing the package to the desired zone, the fork lifter returns to its home position and gets ready to lift the second package. Ultrasonic sensors are used to detect obstacles existing in the path of the fork lifter. Our fork lifter is particularly designed for the industrial environment; it uses Mecanum wheels, which significantly increase the maneuverability of the vehicle in dense spaces. These omni-directional wheels provide free-movement along the surface of motion with zero degree turning radius to the fork lifter.
