Implementation of a sequence control on batch process using PLC based scada system - Islamabad. Department of Mechatronics Engineering (Air University Main Campus) 2014. - vii;36p. CD
Sequence control batch process is a widely used industrial process. Its significance in industry cannot be neglected. Automation in batch process plays a vital role in the preparation of batch products. Automation of the process helps in minimizing human error as well as maintaining the standards of the product and reducing the wastage of reactants and product. In our final year project we would implement a sequence control on batch process using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and then monitor the process from remote location using modem and finally display important parameters of the project using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Flow of the reactants is controlled by means of solenoid valves. The quantity of reactants is measured by flow meters. For the purpose of increasing the rate of reaction stirrer and heater is implied and whole process is carried out in a reaction vessel.
