The acronym SCADA stands for Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition. In reality, the primary purpose of SCADA is to monitor, control and alarm plant or regional operating systems from a central location. While override control is possible, it is infrequently utilized; however control set points are quite regularly changed by SCADA. The goal of our project is to monitor and control the temperature inside the rotary kiln and rpm of rotary kiln that is to be processed. These factors are very important parameters in industrial applications because they determine the quality product. This report will discus how the SCADA systems are applied to the industrial environment. That is how it collects data from various sensors at a factory, plant or in other remote locations and then sends this data to a central computer which then manages and controls the data. A major part of our project includes instrumentation and data acquisition. Circuits are designed and implemented for instrumentation and interfacing with computer. Moreover GUI based software is developed which displays sensor output, performs all the calculations and plot results.
