In this project the robot has to move on vertical surface using four wheels. The front two wheels are driven by motor and rear two wheels are driven via belt. The structure is made by light weight material acrylic. A tail is attached for further stability while climbing. The adhesion of the robot is accomplished using suction pump and suction cup. Suction plays an important role in the adhesion of robot to the wall as it has a fan that rotates at a high rpm which creates the vacuum inside. Lepo batteries are used as a energy source for motors and other electronic circuits. It requires a higher factor of safety at the suction part so that robot should not fall vertically down of the wall. Wall climbing robots have a variety of applications in industry; they are used for crack detection in nuclear chambers and different surfaces. Further they are also used in surveillance for security purposes. Some of them are also used for painting where human reach is difficult.
